POLICY & PROCEDURES

Thank you for your interest in working with me on your new project! In order to assure that I, and my clients are protected, all clients are required to sign contracts. Please note that each service warrants its own details to assure that clients are informed and receiving effective communication as a valued client. Again, thank you for your interest!



Retainer (Deposit) & Payments
For projects $200 and under, payment in full is required before work will begin. For projects over $200, a %50 non-refundable retainer is due before work can commence. The complete balance of the 50% is to be paid at the end of the project, once project is approved and before the final files is delivered. We will not publish website designs unless all balances have been paid. A full invoice and our Contract for Service is emailed to you at the start of the project with instructions on how to secure your contract. A payment plan can be made for the duration of services after the 50% retainer has been made. We reserve the right to approve alternate payment plans. All payment plans must be listed on your contract. Please note, your payment schedule will remain as outlined due to any completion shifts at the fault of the client. Due to the type of work we provide, there are no refunds.

Payment Methods Accepted
Square Point of Sale is simple, convenient way to make payments online and allows you to use your credit card. You do not need an account to make payments with credit or debit cards. We also accept CashApp and PayPal as methods of payments. For local residents (Louisville, KY), in-person payments can be made if desired.

 

Timeframe & Estimated Completion Dates​
It is important for theDMExperience to complete projects in a timely manner. However, due to the uniqueness of each project and client, more time may be needed for satisfied completion. Please respect our timeline and respond in a timely fashion with any revision requests once project has begun. It is mutually understood that in order to keep your completion date during your project, you must send all materials needed to complete the services and respond in timely fashion. Please be advised that this relates to business days only. Weekends and Holidays are not included in the time frame of any project.

Revisions
All projects will include (3)  FREE Revision Rounds. A revision round is defined by the opening of your file. Each time we open the file to make an edit, it is considered a revision round. For this reason, please make sure that you have thoroughly reviewed your projects for all corrections and edits. Additional revisions can be made for an additional fee of $15 per revision.

Drafts

Draft images of ANY kind are for the purpose of approval only. They may not be copied, manipulated, or distributed to any other person or company other than those directly involved with the project without prior permission from Denisha McCauley. All drafts works are the property of theDMExperience.

Content

It is important to have a vision of some kind for your business so it can be relayed to me. Clients are required to submit all HIGH QUALITY photos and/or verbiage (text) they need for their project. Pixelated photos will not result in the best quality design. Please refrain from submitting dull phone images. Please make sure all submitted content is spell checked and not subject to copyright. TheDMExperience may revise submitted content if deemed necessary for the the project. Any revisions needed will be communicated first.

Cancellations + Refunds
TheDMExperience does not provide refunds for any services unless agreed upon. Having buyers remorse or wanting to use another company instead is not a suitable means for a refund. Once payment has been made to theDMExperience, the project will begin in the time frame given to the client. It is advised that you give the project ample time for completion for these reasons: revisions may be needed, it may be a peak in the orders received and prior work received may take longer than expected. I provide a suitable timeframe, however, there may be an additional business day or two needed before I can begin if it is a busy time. If for any reason you want to cancel a service already rendered or paid for, that is your choice. However, due to the work produced or in queue, payments already received by theDMExperience will not be refunded in order to offset the loss of business. If partial work has already been received by the client and they choose to cancel, the partial or full payment that has been paid will not be refunded. Ownership of all artwork, layouts and development will remain the property of theDMExperience and remaining work will not be sent to the client for their ownership. If the project is in it’s final stage, ownership will be transferred to client after full payment is received. 

The only reason any monies will be refunded is in the event theDMExperience is unable to complete the project for personal reasons or illness.

 

Copyright Policy
All projects are created by us. Any concepts that are not chosen and paid for will be a violation of our rights if they are used elsewhere. TheDMExperience owns all copyrighted work and designs provided. It provides you with a non-exclusive revocable license to use the design in your materials. However, you shall not create any derivative works or otherwise use the design outside of its intended purpose. TheDMExperience retains sole possession of all intellectual property.

Once completed, you (the client) also give theDMExperience the right to use for portfolio and/or marketing purposes unless agreed upon otherwise.
